Pollution (Instead of Love) is in the air

Few days back had a chance to visit the city of love where the eternal love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal is etched in every nook and corner of the city. Each one of us was super excited to see the one of the seven wonder of the world The Great Taj Mahal, but as soon as we entered the premises we had to the chance to witness the majestic beauty of  Taj Mahal through the filter of Smoky air. Even the Agra Fort was not visible from the Taj Mahal which you can usually see from here. Hope a strong law is on its way for India so that we can once again enjoy beauty of these monuments.

An impromptu visit to Shri Renuka Ji

Good things are experienced when you least expect them to happen. Me and my friend were visiting Shri Paonta Sahib in Himachal to attend a marriage ceremony. While returning we decided to take an impromptu tour to a small spiritual town named Shri Renuka Ji in Himachal. Journey to the town alone made our day. The views were so refreshing and were being complemented by the spring season that had dawned on the forests alongside the road.




We were expecting the place to be congested and jam-packed like other regular Spiritual towns and cities of India. To our pleasant surprise the town was so clutter free. The main temple is very old and is beautifully situated, surrounded by mountains on all the sides and floating amidst 2 lakes that surround the temple. As we had some time to kill, we decided to explore the natural beauty of the area and to our pleasant surprise we found a track leading directly to the river bank of Tons River (the largest tributary of Yamuna river).  Standing in the ice cold water and listening to the sound of flowing river refreshed our minds. Only regret we had was that we didn't had ample amount of time else this seemed to be a perfect place to have a bonfire with friends and enjoy.

If anyone is travelling to Shimla from Paonta Sahib i would suggest you take this 2-3 hours detour to refresh your mind and enjoy nature which is still untouched.

Ek Raat...

Udaas Ladki

Ek ladki baithi thi mere samne,

Kuch takleef thi shayad use jise chupa rahi thi,

Kya tha us k mann mein pata karna tha mujhe,

Kyunki har guzarte pal k saath uska chehra utra ja rha tha,

Us masum chehre pe yeh udasi saaf asman pe badal jaisi thi,

Kabhi jaan na paunga kyunki ek pal mein woh gayab ho gayi,

Aur uske mann ki baat uske mann mein hi dafan ho kar reh gayi
